Secluded Camp Sites
Grouseland's Campground is a shared space with other campers. We provide a camping experience with an ideal view next to our orchard. A near virgin sky allows for optimal stargazing. Perched on a mountain ridge with a fabulous scenic overlook, guests have access to picnic tables, a fireplace, grills, free firewood, use of facilities including a hot shower, and miles of hiking trails.
This is the best place to bring your friends, bike, hang around the fire and enjoy the great outdoors.
Starting at $25 a night up to 4 people with 1 tent. Extra charges for additional people and tents.
Twisted Oak Campsite
Twisted Oak Campsite is a private site great for families and friends! Twisted Oak Campsite gives guests a unique site offering it's own unique scenic overlook, hammock, fire place, and picnic table. A short walk from our tree house guests can relax enjoy forest bathing. Guests are given an allotted amount of free firewood, and use of facilities including a hot shower, and miles of hiking trails.
This is the best place for a family getaway or a friends weekend!
Starting at $45 a night up to 6 people with 1 tent. Extra charges for additional people and tents.
GROUSELAND’S CAMP SITE POLICIES AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
AGE REQUIREMENT TO MAKE A RESERVATION: You must be 18 years of age or older to reserve a site. Grouseland holds the right to revoke any request or reservation if indeed a guest is unable to provide proof of age. You must be 21 to consume alcohol on property. We will also require a credit card number to remain on file.
DOGS: We encourage guests to bring dogs, however we do ask that you clean up after them, bags are provided on each campsite and can be deposited in the trash cans provided.
SMOKERS: Please do NOT smoke inside any buildings and make sure all butts make it into the trash or leave with you, Grouseland will charge a $50 fee if butts or litter are left at the campsite. Smoking inside of buildings will result in a $200 fee. We appreciate the effort to keeping our woods clean.
MISSING OR DAMAGED ITEMS: Please do not take any things home with you that you did not bring with you or did not buy at the camp store, this includes towels, toilet paper, bikes, and wildlife.
FIREWORKS/FIREARMS: NO fireworks and absolutely no firearms to be used while on the property.
EMERGENCY PHONE - Medical Emergencies or Fires PLEASE Call 9-1-1: There is a phone located in the camp shop if you cannot get cell service. Please also call our office line at 814-784-5000
SHOP HOURS: Are by appointment only, please call us if you need to rent or buy something. The Camp Shop bathroom’s external access door will be unlocked for use 24/7. If there are a lot of guests on property a time sheet will be posted on the door, this is to be used to allow each customer a 30 min time slot for private bathroom use.
TRASH: Please bag your trash and place it the garbage cans located on or near each site. We try to be as green as possible, so we ask that you recycle your cans and bottles in the marked bins in each site.
CHARCOAL GRILLS: Please bring charcoal for grilling. There is a pale at each site for ashes.
CLEANING: As a courtesy, please clean up any litter left from your stay and deposit it in the garbage cans. A $50 littering fine will be charged otherwise.
SUPPLIES: If you need additional supplies; trash bags, towels, etc., please call 814-784-5000.
SOILED Towels: We recommend that you bring your own towels, however if need be towels can be provided. Please call if you need additional towels, used towel should be deposited into the hamper in the bathroom.
MAINTENANCE: The grounds may be maintained (mowing, etc.) during business hours.
CHECK-IN: Check-in is 2:00PM. Please call a half hour before arrival. We will meet you at the camp shop and take you up to your site.
CHECK-OUT: Check-out is 12:00PM or you will be charged a $50 fee.
